Julian Vaile

Dr Vaile undertook his undergraduate and postgraduate training in Birmingham, UK, which included a period of research resulting in an MD thesis on Cardiac Autonomic Control.  Julian completed an Interventional Fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre in 2001.  He has more than 20 years’ experience as a Cardiology Consultant at the Flinders Medical Centre.  He is a significant leader in his field and is currently the Director of Cardiology at SALHN.

Julian is a highly experienced Cardiologist with a particular interest in Coronary Artery Disease, Coronary Intervention, and the prevention and treatment of Acute Coronary Syndromes.

Julian regularly visits the Riverland for consultation and is a key member of the iCCNet roster.  He is a Senior Lecturer at Flinders University and has a keen interest in teaching at all levels.

Julian also strives to maintain a healthy work life balance maintaining a wide range of outside interests including music, competitive skydiving, cycling, music, beekeeping, and most importantly family and friendship.
